Left with medical equipment that had served her late husband well, Sally felt it was important that it be given to someone in need. So, on the advice of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, she called CRC to donate a small oxygen concentrator, expensive and life-supporting equipment that retails for $4,000.

CRC spoke with our partners at Healthcare Network, and they connected us with a patient named Nancy who is oxygen dependent. Nancy had been paying over $200 a month to rent a bulky concentrator that made getting around difficult; her entire family chipped in for that life-sustaining oxygen.

When Nancy and her family arrived at CRC to pick up the donated machine, a sense of relief washed over her face. Transitioning to a free, reliable, portable oxygen concentrator would give Nancy a new sense of freedom.

“I was praying for a miracle to happen,” Nancy said. “This donation is truly a gift from God.”

As Nancy, her family, and CRC staff stood around that little metal machine, there was not a dry eye in the room. We sent a photo to Sally, who cried tears of joy, too.
