Maria Munguia Trejo
Maria Munguia Trejo graduated from Immokalee High School in 2016 and obtained her BA degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, in 2020.
For the last five years, Maria has served as the Community and Programs Manager at Lipman Family Farms, overseeing various initiatives to support the community. Locally, she manages the Lipman 5K Run for Backpacks, a fundraiser for the annual back-to-school giveaway in Immokalee. Internationally, Maria has established a network of “Community Champions” in over 20 Lipman locations, leading to the inception of Lipman’s first company-wide annual service event, Day of Good, in November 2020.
Maria’s story started when her parents immigrated to the United States when she was only 3 years old, from there her journey began. Raised in Immokalee, Maria’s upbringing drives her commitment to supporting organizations that once aided her. She participated in RCMA’s daycare program and was a recipient of the Guadalupe Tutor Corp scholarship, now serving on the Guadalupe Center’s board. Additionally, Maria holds a board position at the Healthcare Network.
Maria is passionate about giving back and is proud to be serving others locally and internationally.
